Win a Wii

Wow, what a turn out. 44 players coming out for the chance to win a Nintendo Wii. With numbers like that I may do this again in June.

We saw two father/son teams and one all girls team. There was a lot of potential out there!!! Given a little more practice and it could be great.

Remember we are having a $5000 tournament in a months time. Come out to the DYPs on Friday nights for some practice and tips.

How Does it Work?
On Saturday March 31 at 2:00pm there will be Doubles Foosball Tournament where the winners will get to take home Nintendo Wii. The tournament format will be double elimination (you have to lose two matches to be knocked out). The matches on the winners side will be best 2 games out of three. Each games goes to 5 points. If you lose a match you go to the losers side where the matches are 1 game to 7 points. The semifinals and finals are best 2 out of three.

It costs $10 per person. The tables are $1 a game. (You shouldn't need more than 5 loonies even if you go all the way) 32 players are required to cover the cost of the Wii (if we are a couple guys short we will make it up) otherwise the event will payout 100% to first place. If we get more than 32 players, well that means prize money for 2nd and 3rd.

BYES
You can earn byes in the tournament by playing in Friday Night DYPs, which are free, on March 16, 23 and 30. Each DYP you play enters you into a draw for a bye. The more you and you partner play the better chance you have at a bye. There will several first round byes, two second round bys and one third round bye up for grabs.

Who Can Play?
This event is open to all new players to OFA as well as the beginner players. If you are a rookie or higher, sorry you can't play.

Am I a beginner?
If you have to ask, chances are good that you are. You would have to a ranked rookie not to qualify and I know all the rookies in town.
